JazzBuds is all about enjoying good music particularly Jazz, Funk, Soul and occasionally Blues. Playing from our record collections we compile an hourly show each doing our best to out do the one another. “We’ve known one another for around 20 years and we get on well and enjoy taking the hand out of ourselves”.

Terry Corr has been collecting records since the late 60’s. “My Dad bought me my first record player in Smithfield with a handful of 45s Joe Brown, Buddy Holly etc”.

Terry started playing Soul back in the 80’s. He founded ‘ Soul in the City’ at top floor Robinson’s Bar Belfast. He began radio covering for Candy Devine’s Friday Night Soul Show on Downtown. After a hiatus he was invited to present SOULFOOD on U105 circa 2005 to 2012 before moving on to SoulLegendsRadio.com and Belfast89.

Terry rarely plays live gigs these days but has been hosting Bullitt Hotels NYE studio54 Disco.

Mervyn Lyttle

Originates from Portrush and has enjoyed a career working in the media as part of UTV. He

co- presented the afternoon show on Belfast 89fm along with the late Robin Scott (the pair were affectionately known as the Odd Couple).

Mervyn is a bit of a music obsessive and brings his production skills to JazzBuds.
